UT-Austin offering students free counseling sessions

The University of Texas at Austin is working to provide more access to mental health services for students in 2018.

In a statement from President Gregory L. Fenves, the university announced it will eliminate the cost of counseling sessions for students and reduce the cost of psychiatry services from $15 to $10, effective immediately. Previously, counseling sessions cost $10 for students. 

According to Fenves, the services will be funded through the multi-million dollar partnership with ESPN from the Longhorn Network.
